Rising London talent Elliot Wright drops his debut release on Forbidden Fruit and boy is this a tasty piece of hot fruit. Elliot has released on a range of labels from Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam to Endemic. Gathering wide DJ support and massive respect form his peers for seamless productions.
Salsafy is an endlessly funky tech-house workout with a killer lead siren hook. Building from an percussive groove that just pulls you along, the track build with teases of warping siren riff that rises and mutates through the track, never fully peaking but holding you wanting more and more… and adman chased eve!
First on the remix front is label friend and supporter Rob Small, when not co-running Breakout Audio Rob has been turning out smoking hot tunes on a range of underground labels such as Electronic Petz, Evasive and Cubism. For this one he’s turned the BPMs down a few notches and cranked up the tom groove for an essential deephouse cut that expertly blends vocal stabs, studio trickery and elements of Elliots killer lead hook. Robs last release was punching the Top 10 of Beatport and this shows exactly why. Guaranteed to work your early bar and club sets like annie on steroids.
Rounding off the EP is one half of Click & Zoom – Darzh Liebek. Who slams a hooj slice of big room house on the dexs with his reworking. Blending mutating stabs and percussion Darzh weaves Elliot’s hook into a big room track that just keeps rising into the stratosphere and that’s sure to find favour with the likes of Funkagenda and Prydz.
